The main build within these fourteen mixed sized properties, was Owl Barn, an existing grade II listed barn purchased as part of this development. The barn was originally constructed in 1801 and underwent a full conversion; with a restored frame, the perseverance of using the original roof tiles to ultimately convert it to a three bedroom residential dwelling.

The barn required underpinning and full restoration of the plinth, due to the additional weight that comes with a residential conversion. The frame of the barn was in really good condition for its age, so only a small portion of the oak frame required restoration. The original roof tiles were reused with new black featheredge timber boarding on the sides plus, new windows and doors.

Internally, the 200 year old oak frame remained exposed as much as possible. Combined with new oak doors, skirting, architrave, oak flooring and natural stone tiling kept the traditional style running through the property. Handmade imperial Tudor style bricks were used to make a feature fireplace and bespoke cooker surround.
